Terms of service
Home Den — Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 1 September 2026
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Home Den website and to purchases made from Home Den.
Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. About Home Den
Home Den is a trading name operated by:
Amanda Jane Lester, Sole Trader
15 Parkers Close
Easton
Norwich
Norfolk
NR9 5EE
United Kingdom
Email: support@homeden.co.uk
Website: homeden.co.uk
In these Terms, “Home Den”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Amanda Jane Lester trading as Home Den.
“You” and “your” refer to the customer or website user.
2. Our Products
Home Den sells home, lifestyle, stationery, gift and related products.
Our range may change from time to time and products may include items produced to order as well as items supplied from existing stock.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, materials, colours and other information are accurate.
However, colours may appear differently depending on your screen or device, and reasonable variations may occur between products because of manufacturing, printing, materials or production processes.
Such reasonable variations do not affect your rights where a product is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet your statutory rights.
3. Production, Supply and Fulfilment Partners
Home Den works with a network of production, supply and fulfilment partners.
Depending on the product, an item may be produced to order, supplied from existing stock, stored, packed or dispatched on our behalf by one of these partners.
Our partners may be located within Great Britain or internationally.
Products within the same order may therefore occasionally be dispatched separately, from different locations and at different times.
Regardless of which partner produces, supplies, packs or dispatches an order, your purchase is made from Home Den, and Home Den remains your retailer and your point of contact for your order.
If you experience a problem with an order, please contact support@homeden.co.uk rather than contacting a production, supply or fulfilment partner directly.
4. Product Availability
All products are subject to availability.
Occasionally a product or variant may become unavailable after an order has been placed.
If we cannot fulfil an order, we will contact you and, where appropriate, cancel the affected item and issue a refund.
5. Prices
Prices displayed on the website are shown in the currency indicated.
Home Den is not currently VAT registered.
Any mandatory charges that Home Den knows must be paid by the customer in connection with an order will be displayed or otherwise clearly communicated where required before the order is placed.
We may change product prices at any time, but a price change will not normally affect an order already accepted by us.
Obvious pricing, technical or typographical errors may be corrected. Where an error affects an order, we may contact you before proceeding and, where appropriate, offer you the opportunity to continue at the correct price or cancel for a refund.
6. Orders and Contract Formation
By placing an order, you are offering to purchase the selected products subject to these Terms.
You are responsible for checking your order details, delivery address and contact information before submitting your order.
Receipt of an order does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
A contract is formed when your order is accepted in accordance with the order confirmation or fulfilment process.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, there is an obvious pricing or technical error, payment cannot be authorised, we cannot deliver to the address provided, or we reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful activity.
Where we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will provide an appropriate refund unless there is a lawful reason not to do so.
7. Payment
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods displayed at checkout.
Payment services may be provided by third-party payment providers.
Home Den does not receive or store your complete payment card details where these are processed securely by the relevant payment provider.
8. Discount Codes and Promotions
Discount codes and promotional offers may be subject to additional conditions, including expiry dates, eligible products, minimum spend requirements or restrictions on combining offers.
Unless stated otherwise, promotional codes have no cash value.
We may withdraw, amend or refuse a promotional offer where reasonably necessary, including where it has been published or applied in error or is being misused.
Any promotional pricing, availability statements or time-limited offers used by Home Den will be intended to reflect genuine offers and conditions.
9. Gift Cards
Where Home Den offers gift cards, additional terms displayed when the gift card is purchased may apply.
Gift cards cannot normally be exchanged for cash except where required by law.
Your statutory rights are unaffected.
10. Delivery
Home Den currently delivers to residential and business addresses within Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales).
We do not currently deliver to:
- Northern Ireland;
- the Channel Islands;
- the Isle of Man; or
- PO Box addresses.
Please see our Shipping & Delivery Policy for further information.
11. Delivery Estimates
Estimated delivery periods may be displayed on individual product pages.
These are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.
Because products may be produced or dispatched by different partners and delivery carriers, Home Den cannot guarantee delivery on a particular day unless we expressly agree otherwise.
We will take reasonable steps to deliver orders within the timeframe stated or agreed and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
12. Delivery Addresses
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
If you notice an error after placing an order, please contact us as quickly as possible.
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has entered production or fulfilment.
Where an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer results in a parcel being returned, lost or requiring redelivery, reasonable additional costs may be payable by the customer where permitted by law.
This does not affect your rights where Home Den or its delivery partners have made the error.
13. Safe Places, Neighbours and Delivery Instructions
If you ask a delivery carrier to leave a parcel in a particular safe place, with a neighbour or at another location, you should ensure that your chosen arrangement is suitable and secure.
Any responsibility will depend on the circumstances and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Customs, Import VAT and Import Charges
Some Home Den products may be dispatched to customers in Great Britain from production, supply or fulfilment partners located outside the United Kingdom.
Where a parcel is subject to import VAT, Customs Duty, courier handling fees or other import charges that are legally payable by the recipient, those charges will be the responsibility of the customer.
Where import taxes, duties or charges are legally the responsibility of Home Den or have already been included in the price paid at checkout, the customer will not be required to pay those charges again.
If a courier or postal service asks you to pay an unexpected import charge before delivery, please contact support@homeden.co.uk before making payment where possible so that we can check the circumstances of the shipment.
Home Den will make reasonable efforts to ensure that any known mandatory charges payable by the customer are made clear before an order is placed.
15. Packaging
As products may be dispatched by different production, supply and fulfilment partners, packaging materials may vary.
Home Den cannot guarantee that all packaging will be recyclable, recycled, plastic-free, biodegradable or otherwise environmentally preferable.
We avoid making environmental claims about packaging or products unless we have an appropriate basis for doing so.
16. Packaging Disposal
Customers are responsible for the appropriate disposal or recycling of packaging received with their order.
Packaging materials may vary depending on the product and fulfilment location. Please follow your local authority's guidance when disposing of or recycling packaging.
17. Product Use and Safety
Customers are responsible for using products for their intended purpose and in accordance with any instructions, warnings and safety information supplied with them.
Please read and retain any instructions, labels, warnings, care information and other safety information supplied with a product.
Products that are not designed or marketed as toys should not be treated as toys.
Children should be appropriately supervised around products that may present a foreseeable risk.
Products should not be modified, misused or used in a manner contrary to supplied instructions or warnings.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any liability that Home Den cannot lawfully exclude or your statutory rights in relation to unsafe, faulty or otherwise non-compliant products.
18. Website and Blog Information
Home Den may publish articles, guides, blog posts, inspiration, decorating ideas and other informational content relating to subjects such as home interiors, colours, styles, materials, product care and lifestyle topics.
This content is provided for general information and inspiration and should not be treated as medical, health, safety or other professional advice.
Information relating to matters such as allergies, sensitivities, materials or potential health considerations is general in nature. Individual circumstances vary and information may not be suitable for everyone.
You should make your own enquiries and, where appropriate, seek advice from a suitably qualified professional before relying on general website or blog information in circumstances that may affect your health, safety or individual requirements.
Nothing in this section permits Home Den to make misleading claims or excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
19. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Consumers purchasing online may have statutory rights to cancel eligible orders.
Please see our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy for details.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights concerning faulty, damaged, unsafe, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods.
20. Made-to-Order Products
Some Home Den products may be produced after an order is placed.
The fact that a standard product is produced to order does not by itself remove a consumer's statutory cancellation rights.
Where Home Den introduces genuinely personalised, bespoke or custom-made products in the future, different statutory cancellation rules may apply and this will be made clear where appropriate.
21. Sale and Clearance Products
Sale and clearance products remain covered by applicable statutory consumer rights.
A reduced price does not remove your rights where goods are faulty, misdescribed or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.
Eligible online purchases may also retain statutory cancellation rights.
22. Customer Accounts
Home Den may allow customers to create or use customer accounts.
You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for providing accurate information.
Please contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may restrict or close an account where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, misuse or other legitimate reasons.
23. Reviews and Customer Content
Home Den may use a third-party review service to collect and display customer reviews.
If you submit a review, photograph or other content, you must ensure that it is genuine, relates to your actual experience where represented as such, and does not contain unlawful, defamatory, abusive, infringing or misleading material.
We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary, but we will not selectively suppress genuine negative reviews merely because they are unfavourable.
Where you submit photographs or other content for publication, you grant Home Den a non-exclusive right to display and use that content in connection with the website, reviews and reasonable promotion of Home Den, subject to applicable law and any permissions or choices presented when the content is submitted.
Do not upload photographs or content containing another identifiable person unless you have the necessary permission.
24. Fraud, Misuse and Suspicious Activity
Home Den reserves the right to take reasonable steps to protect our customers and business against fraud, attempted fraud, abuse and other unlawful activity.
Where we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity in connection with an order, payment, delivery, return, refund, customer account or claim, we may investigate the circumstances and, where appropriate, work with payment providers, delivery partners, production, supply or fulfilment partners and other relevant organisations.
Where reasonably necessary and permitted by law, we may retain relevant records, decline or cancel transactions, restrict or close customer accounts and report suspected criminal activity to the appropriate authorities.
Nothing in this section will be used to prevent a customer from exercising genuine statutory consumer rights or making a legitimate complaint, delivery claim, return or refund request.
25. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Home Den website and its original text, branding, graphics, designs and other content are owned by or licensed to Home Den and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.
You may use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping and information purposes.
You must not reproduce, commercially exploit or distribute protected Home Den content without permission except where permitted by law.
Third-party trademarks, designs and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
26. Acceptable Website Use
You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, interfere with website operation or use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
27. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may contain links to or integrate with third-party services.
Home Den is not responsible for the content or independent privacy practices of third-party websites that we do not control.
Our use of service providers in connection with customer orders does not remove Home Den's responsibilities to you as the retailer where those responsibilities apply.
Our online store is hosted and supported by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform and related technology that enables us to offer and sell our products and services through this website.
Shopify may collect and process personal information when you visit, interact with or make a purchase through our store. This may include processing information to provide Shopify services and Enhanced Services based on your interactions with Home Den, other Shopify merchants and Shopify.
Information may be shared with Shopify and with service providers and other third parties, which may be located in other countries, where necessary to provide these services. Further information about this processing and your privacy choices is provided in our Privacy Policy.
We may also use third-party services and technology providers to support functions such as payment processing, order fulfilment, delivery, customer communications, reviews, analytics and other aspects of operating Home Den.
The use of third-party services does not affect your statutory rights or our responsibilities to you as the seller where those responsibilities cannot lawfully be excluded or transferred.
28. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot lawfully be excluded for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to those protections, Home Den will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for losses arising from customer misuse of a product where Home Den is not legally responsible for that loss.
29. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control, subject always to any rights and remedies you have under consumer law.
If a significant delay occurs, please contact us and we will work with you to find an appropriate solution.
30. Privacy and Cookies
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
31. Complaints
If you have a complaint or problem with an order, please contact:
We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter fairly and promptly.
32. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, services or applicable requirements.
The version applicable to an order will normally be the version in effect when the order was placed.
The current version will be published on our website with its latest update date.
33. Governing Law
These Terms and contracts between you and Home Den are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections that apply to you and cannot lawfully be excluded.
